I used to be a puppet animator - my 'roles' included Paddington bear. i think that this shows in my mosaics. Whereas many mosaicists come to the art via textiles and concentrate on pattern, I am interested in characterisation - so that a mouse isn't just any old mouse - he's THAT mouse. If, when you look at him, he looks back at you then I've succeeded - simple as that. Why is SIMPLE so DIFFICULT?!
