- What can I say about this one?! Well in all of my 25 years of making mosaics, I’ve never had a commission like this before! It was made to go alongside a swimming pool. My client Eva came to a lecture I gave at the Chelsea Arts Club. She was very taken with a cartoony Crocodile and Toucan that I had made some years ago. Eva wanted one for her pool environment but when she gave me the dimensions of the adjacent wall, I realised that it was too narrow for me to make it work, so I suggested a snake instead. The fact that my client was called Eva was a wonderful coincidence.
I really enjoyed making him as I think you can tell. More please!
